Both. We can build on a lot you own or we have lots available in several subdivisions.

Do you just have certain plans that you build?
No. Stonefield Homes is a custom builder. Designing and building homes that reflect our customers’ unique needs and personalities is our specialty. We take the time to understand your needs and desires, and design a home just for you. We can also work from have plans that we've built previously, and we can modify those plans to your specifications.

What is the price per square foot?
This question gets asked more than any other and it is the most difficult to answer. The price per square foot varies based on the items you select for your home and, most importantly, the specific design you choose. The size of the foundation and complexity of your roof are major cost factors. One-story or ranch designs cost more per square foot due to their larger foundations and roofs. Plans with more square footage on the first floor and less square footage on the 2nd floor are more expensive for the same reason. Exterior variables affecting the cost can be items such as brick, vinyl siding, wood siding, stone, stucco, columns, shutters, porches, landscaping, decks & etc. Interior features such as Formica, Corian, granite, vinyl flooring, ceramic tile, hardwood flooring, plumbing fixtures, cabinets, etc., all affect the square foot price. Once we know your selections we can we can determine the exact price of your home.

How long will it take to build my house?
The actual construction time for most of our homes is 8 months, depending on the size of the home and assuming good weather throughout the construction period. If we are working with you to design your home, then you need to add several months for this process. The more certain you are of your and the level of design and detail you desire, this less time this will take.

Do you guide us through the homebuilding process?
Yes. Stonefield Homes works with you from the inception of your home design to the walk-thru of your completed home. Our superintendent will have numerous on-site meetings with you during construction to discuss such things as the layout of your home on the lot, placement of electrical outlets and switches, location of television and phone outlets, etc. We also have an interior decorator to assist you with exterior and interior color selections. There are more colors to select than people sometimes realize, and they contribute greatly to its overall "homey" appeal. Our designer will help you select such items as brick, vinyl or wood siding color, shingle color, trim color, gutter color, window color, and garage door color on the exterior of your home. She will also assist you in selecting your cabinets and tops, floor coverings, ceramic tile, marble, light fixtures and paint colors on the interior of your home.

Do you have a builder's warranty?
Yes. Stonefield Homes, Inc. guarantees your home for a period of one year from the time of closing. This warranty includes the building, roof, plumbing, heating equipment and electrical work. In addition to our 1-year warranty, we can offer you a 10-year structural warranty through Bonded Builder’s Home Warranty Association.
